Web Designers in Manchester
We were approached by a new children's nursery based in Swindon. They asked us to produce everything for them, their logo, branding, brochures and, their website.
They had decided to call the nursery 'the Nursery of Narnia' which we absolutely loved. The first thing we did was start to look at trends in nurseries. Once we had done a bit of research we sent a few of our ideas over to the owners. One of the first logos we sent over was of a lion, however, even though they loved this logo, they wanted something more traditional. We went back to the drawing board and started to research into the illustration that were in the original books.
We saw that the style of all the illustrations had a very hand drawn feel to them. They stated that they wanted to focus on the oil lamp which is in the books because they had one of them outside the building which they were looking to use as the nursery. Eventually, we came up with this logo.
We also took into consideration the typography used. This had to be child friendly and we focussed on finding a typeface that had the formation of the letter 'a' that you would learn at school. Once they were happy with this logo the next big thing that they wanted was to get their website up and running.
Originally, we discussed the idea of using illustrations in the website so we came up with a few examples.
They loved all the illustrations and wanted them to feature on the website. However, they also wanted to incorporate more illustrations of nature and bugs, which we places around the titles. Below you can see how the website turned around. Currently, we are working on their brochures to be printed once they have launched.
We loved working with The Nursery of Narnia and seeing this project come to life. We can’t wait to see what is next with these!
